MGA Car Auction: 1959 MGA 1500 Roadster for sale
A fresh import from South Africa, this is a beautiful vehicle. When you view the eBay auction you will see the detailed pictures of the underneath of the car and see how good it is, but make sure to ready the buyers description first!
The owner has a very comprehensive description on the advert as below:
Up for sale is this beautiful 1959 MGA 1500 Roadster.
Recently imported from the kinder climate of South Africa, this car is in exceptional condition. The vehicle has undergone a recent blowover, enhancing its presentation in one of the most elegant and timeless color combinations. Its original engine runs smoothly, starting without hesitation, maintaining great oil pressure, and avoiding any overheating issues, while delivering a sublime sound.
The interior is in excellent shape, with a snug-fitting roof showing no signs of tears, sagging, or stretched stitching. Please note, the car is missing its side screens and heater control panel, both of which are relatively easy to replace from common sources.
The UK registration application paperwork was submitted to the DVLA three weeks ago, and the car has been inspected. It is expected to have its V5 Logbook and new registration number by the end of May. All import duties have been paid, and the car comes with its Notice of Vehicle Arrival paperwork.
I strongly recommend coming to view this car before bidding, as the final bid is the final price, with no further negotiation. The pictures form part of the description, so please review them thoroughly. If you would like additional photos, feel free to request them.
I must admit, I’m not an expert on these cars; I bought this one because it is tidy, solid, and simply gorgeous. However, I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability.
The auction starts at 99p with no reserve, so this is a fantastic opportunity to grab a summer bargain. Offers are invited until 8:30 pm on the 24th of May. After that, the auction will run its course.
The car is based just outside Bristol (BS31), so come and take a look. There is a private road around my storage area where you can take it for a quick spin.
Here’s the boring, but necessary bit:
- Winning Bidder to make contact within 24 hours of the auction ending
- Winning Bidder to pay 10% Deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending
- The vehicle must be collected with 7 days of the auction ending with the balance paid in full.
- Failure to comply with all of the above will result in the vehicle being relisted…I won’t muck you about, so please extend the same courtesy.
Cheers, and good luck!
Jon
